microneedling,
treated as the medical procedure it is.

A private home-based skin clinic in Brampton. By appointment only.

On microneedling

A controlled, evidence-based resurfacing modality.

Microneedling creates precise micro-channels in the skin to stimulate its natural repair process — increased collagen, refined texture, more even tone. Performed with a medical-grade device cleared for this purpose, with sterile single-use cartridges.

No heat. No laser energy. A modality especially well-suited to a wide range of skin tones, including Fitzpatrick IV–VI, where heat-based treatments carry higher risk of pigment disturbance.

On what it can do

For texture, tone, scarring, and the quiet signs of time.

Indicated for fine lines, post-acne scarring, enlarged pores, uneven texture, and overall skin quality. Results build across a series — gradual, not theatrical.

Questions, answered honestly

The things you'd actually want to ask.

How is this different from an at-home roller?

An at-home roller punctures the skin at 0.2–0.5mm — essentially a topical product enhancer. Clinical microneedling uses sterile single-use cartridges at depths of 0.5–2.5mm, calibrated to your skin and the area treated. The depth is what triggers genuine collagen remodeling. Done improperly, it can also cause hyperpigmentation or scarring — which is why this isn't something to attempt at home, especially on deeper skin tones.

Does it work on darker skin tones?

Yes — and this is one of the reasons microneedling sits at the foundation of this clinic. Unlike laser-based resurfacing, microneedling does not use heat or selective wavelength targeting, which significantly lowers the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in Fitzpatrick IV–VI skin.

Protocols are still adjusted: depth, pre-treatment skin prep, and post-care all matter more, not less. This is discussed in detail at consultation.

Will I see results right away?

No. Anyone promising overnight results is selling you something else. You may notice a brief glow once redness settles, but the actual collagen remodeling unfolds over 4–8 weeks per session, with continued improvement for several months.

How many sessions will I need?

Most concerns respond best to a series of 3–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, with maintenance afterward. The exact number depends on your skin, your concern, and what you've responded to in the past. This is built into your consultation plan, not sold as a one-size package.

Will it hurt?

A topical numbing cream is applied for 20–30 minutes before treatment. Most clients describe the procedure as a tolerable scratching or vibrating sensation. The face is comfortable. Bonier areas — forehead, hairline — are more noticeable.

Afterward, it feels like a mild sunburn for a day or so. No pain medication is required.

Is it safe?

When performed by a qualified clinician with sterile single-use cartridges, evidence-based depth selection, proper skin prep, and clear aftercare — yes. The risks are well-characterized and manageable: redness, mild swelling, rare infection, rare pigment changes if protocols aren't respected.

Ask about all of this — anywhere you go.
